Our story
The gap between a beautiful property and a confident guest.
Concierj was born out of a love of travel — and a recurring gap in the booking journey.
Across boutique hotels, wellness retreats, safari camps, and glamping properties, the same moments kept showing up:
- A romance package inquiry sent after hours went unanswered.
- A group hesitated because accessibility and dietary accommodations weren't clear.
- A remote worker chose a less compelling property because another confirmed desk space and Wi-Fi speed upfront.
- A package sale fell apart after two staff members gave different answers.
From conversations with hotel teams, we heard the other side of the same problem: limited staff time, crowded shared inboxes, inconsistent information across teams, and the need to stay focused on guests already on property.
Concierj exists to bridge that gap — bringing the personalization of great hospitality into the moment before a guest books. It helps properties answer what matters, guide guests toward the right stay, and build trust before arrival — while handling routine questions and bringing hotel staff in when a human touch is actually needed.
About the founder
Janna Safran holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University, focused on systems and infrastructure strengthening — using data to understand how organizations operate, where they break down, and how to fix them.
Having traveled to more than twenty countries with a deep interest in guest experience and behavior, she has felt firsthand the intentionality that defines boutique hospitality — and the pre-booking gap that quietly undermines it. Concierj is the convergence of those two threads: systems thinking applied to an industry she knows personally.
